John 3:16

For God loved the world so much that he gave his only Son, so that anyone who believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

God loved the world so much;

What is love? 1st Corinthians 13 :4-7

4. Love is very patient and kind, never jealous or envious, never boastful or proud, 5 never haughty or selfish or rude. Love does not demand its own way. It is not irritable or touchy. It does not hold grudges and will hardly even notice when others do it wrong. 6 It is never glad about injustice, but rejoices whenever truth wins out. 7 If you love someone, you will be loyal to him no matter what the cost. You will always believe in him, always expect the best of him, and always stand your ground in defending him.

Here's a summary:

• Love is patient

• Love is kind

• Love is not rude

• Love is not demanding anything

• Love does not holding grudges

• Love forgives

• Love is not happy when injustice happens

• Love is faithful

• Love defends

After knowing the definition of love, can you challenge yourself? How many persons you can love? As a human being we can love one person, or we can love our family and friends?. Can we love our whole street? City? State? But how someone can love the whole world? But God loved this whole world.

he gave his only Son;

If I love someone so much, what I would do for them? Or what I could sacrifice for them?

· I could smile at them

· I could wish good life for them

· I might help them financially

· I might spend some time with them.

• Can I take someone punishment and die for them, because I love them? I can’t

• Can I ask my son to take their punishment and die for them, because I love them? I can’t

• Will my son take someone’s punishment and die for them, because I love them? He can’t

• But God gave his only son for this world, because he loved this world so much.

• Can I love someone more than my son’s life? I can’t

But God can, that’s a reason we say – God is love. (1st John 4:16)

This is the God who loves us so much, he cannot see us living/dying in our sins. Jesus Christ is the son of God who knew his father’s heart, decided to die for our sins.

• Son knows every inch of father’s heart

• Father knows every inch of son’s heart

• It’s a perfect father-son love story.

That’s a reason, Jesus said;

I and the Father are one. (John 10:30)

Jesus told him, “I am the Way—yes, and the Truth and the Life. No one can get to the Father except by means of me. (John 14:6)

This love story didn’t stop between father and son, but it is extended to this whole world. Jesus said;

I have loved you even as the Father has loved me. Live within my love (john 15:9)

When you obey me you are living in my love, just as I obey my Father and live in his love. (John 15:10)

• God demonstrated his love for us by sending his only son Jesus Christ

• Jesus demonstrated his love for us by dying on the cross of Calvary

Both father God and the son Jesus Christ together calling us to live in their love.

It’s not a demand. It’s offer. If you accept this offer, you can be part of God’s family.

so that anyone who believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

God live forever, when you become part of his family, you are going to live forever.
